SGM Spore Suspensions are calibrated suspensions of bacterial spores appropriate for direct inoculation of products or preparing custom biological indicators for monitoring steam, ethylene oxide, dry heat, hydrogen peroxide, radiation, and other industrial sterilisation processes. Each vial contains 10ml of suspension. The suspending liquid is 40% ethanol or purified water.

Spore Suspension Availability
Storage: Aqueous: refrigerate at 2 to 8°C.
40% Ethanol: freeze at -25 to -10°C.
Expiration: 24 months from date of manufacture (stored in ethanol). 12 months from date of manufacture (stored in aqueous).
Certification: Spore suspensions are traceable to a recognised culture collection and certified for population, D-value, and Z-value (steam).
Spore suspensions are usually made to order and take approximately 2 weeks to manufacture.
If you intend to utilise a suspension for inoculating a medical device or hard goods then the carrier should be ethanol.
If you intend to utilise a suspension for inoculating a pharmaceutical product or liquid then the carrier should be water.
